Seba Lecompte started collecting vinyl in the early nineties. One of Belgium’s finest and hardest working DJs, he is the guy behind the legendary Bang The Box parties at Decadance in Ghent and also plays regularly across Europe. His first release came out in 2004 and up until today, he has slowly made a name for himself with releases on What Happens, Recode Musik, Gotham Grooves, Polar Noise and Ion Music.
Seba Lecompte started collecting vinyl in the early nineties. Influenced by the sound from Detroit and Chicago, his style soon evolved into a warm and upfront mix of techno and (tech-)house music.
These past +20 years, Seba heated up dancefloors all over Belgium: Fuse, Decadance, Café D'Anvers, Kozzmozz, I Love Techno, 10 Days Off, Laundry Day, Silo, .. to name a few.
Seba also plays often abroad: Berlin (Zementgarden, Griessmuehle, Loftus Hall, Raum-Klang, Solar, Hangar49, Sanatorium 23, ...), Amsterdam (Sugar Factory, Paradisio, Stubnitz, Radio XT3), Copenhagen (Culture Box), Paris (Folies Pigalle, OPA, Jett Club), Nijmegen (Doornroosje, Old Cave), Luxemburg (Marx) are regulary on his schedule.
Since 2003, Seba is a resident dj of club Decadance in Ghent, where he organises the infamous Bang The Box parties with headlining artists such as Mark Broom, Joris Voorn, Technasia, Gary Beck, Ken Ishii, Joel Mull, Egbert live, Green Velvet, Nic Fanciulli and many more. Between 2006 and 2008 Seba had the honour of being a resident at Fuse in Brussels, Belgium's premier techno club.
Besides spinning records, Seba is also a passionated producer and performs live acts. Seba released his debut 12” album in 2004 in collaboration with Kim Kurz as Wings Of Sound. Nowadays Seba gives his full attention to his solo career, releasing tracks and remixes on well established labels like Recode Musik, Polar Noise, Gotham Grooves, Ion music, What Happens records, Airtaxi and many more.
We could spend a thousand more words to convince you why Seba is such a skilled artist and performer but instead you just should go watch him live, you won’t regret it!
