Woodie Smalls, the 19 year old mc out of Belgium is ready to take his ‘Soft Parade’ on An international tour. Just 10 months ago he released his debut single and video for ‘Champion Sound’ and immediately made a name for himself. The track created a buzz far bigger than the 19-year-old mc could've envisioned back when he started recording.
Born and raised in a small town close to Antwerp, Belgium, Woodie always dreamed big but never expected things to blow up this fast.
Some of Belgium’s and the Netherlands biggest radio stations have added his singles to their daily rotation and his music has been featured on various international blogs (Noisey Uk, Complex UK, OnSmash, Clique.tv,...)
"You don’t usually associate Belgium, a country where the rivers flow with chocolate, the streets are lined with mussel s, and everyone works for the European Union, with hiphop. Yet here’s the young Woodie Smalls, dropping a melodic rap banger so naturally you'd think he was closer to the West Coast than West Flanders.” - Noisey UK
In less than a year he has won multiple awards, appeared on national television in Belgium, Holland and France and gathered over 3 million plays on spotify.
Up next is a show at SXSW, the biggest showcase festival in the world and a big festival tour this summer in Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
